11 Years and Counting – Happy Birthday, Fios!

Happy birthday, Fios Genomics!

2019 marks 11 years since Fios started as a spin-out of the University of Edinburgh. Now based at the Edinburgh BioQuarter, the team has grown to 25 people spread over our Operations and Business Development teams. With over 600 contracts completed to date, we provide pharma, biotech, CROs and academia with bioinformatic data analysis services bespoke to their research.

Speaking to Dr Sarah Lynagh, CEO, we asked how Fios has changed and grown – and what our biggest achievements have been so far:

“In last year, our biggest achievements have been the formation of Fios Genomics Inc and an increasing presence in the US with the opening of our Cambridge, Massachusetts office. We’ve had steady and ongoing organic growth, especially in the last year, with the introduction of new positions like Scientific Editor too.

Our global client base has grown with a continued focus on quality, excellent customer service and a commitment to jargon-free bioinformatics service provision across all data platforms for all aspects of life sciences.

I’m very proud of our repeat business rate and the relationships we’ve built with many of our clients – with an increasing number of international visitors to our Edinburgh base.”
