Fios at the Virtual Biomarkers Conference 2020
2020 heralds our first fully-virtual conference at Fios Genomics! While we will miss attending in-person in San Diego, we are excited for what promises to be a packed two days.
With over 450 attendees and 40+ presentations, the 5th Annual Biomarkers & Precision Medicine USA Congress unites industry-leading experts to explore challenges, trends, and share insights into the latest biomarker research. Our team look forward to welcoming you at the event.
Our talk: presenting a case study on oncology
We are looking forward to hearing Senior Bioinformatician, Dr Lorna Jackson, talk on Day 1 (15th October) at 11.00am PST (7.00pm BST).
Lorna will be presenting a detailed case study on tumour fusion burden and the immune landscape of prostate cancer.
- Immune checkpoint inhibitors have been largely unsuccessful against prostate cancer, and current biomarkers do not effectively identify those patients most likely to respond to treatment.
- We explore what the genetic make-up of a tumour can tell us about its immune landscape, and describes tumour fusion burden, a novel biomarker for immune cell infiltration and activation in prostate cancer.
There will be a live chat facility for attendees to ask questions raised during the talk, and we encourage everyone to virtually stop by our booth if they have any more questions for Lorna or for the team.
